Partnerships Manager
JABU is a B2B e-commerce app, offering tech-enabled, route-to-market distribution of FMCG products to spaza shops in Southern Africa. About the role:
The Partnerships Manager at Jabu is responsible for negotiating and establishing partnerships with brands to sell marketing campaigns. Whether it’s advertising on our trucks, POS materials for Spaza Shops, Sampling of FMCG products, or access to our amazing Field Agent app and dashboards, we have a universe of offerings for brands.This person will work closely with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies, and negotiate pricing and terms with potential partners.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Evaluate Jabu's tech capabilities and product offerings, and identify marketing opportunities through data analysis, online and offline channels.\
- Identifying and evaluating potential brand partners, based on factors such as market size, target audience, and competitive landscape.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to sell marketing campaigns to brand partners, including developing proposals, negotiating pricing and terms, and closing deals.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing brand partners, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services.
- Working closely with the procurement department to drive brand penetration and awareness in our clientele.
- Negotiating pricing and terms with brand partners, including contracts, payment terms, and performance guarantees.
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns that meet the needs and goals of brand partners.
- Staying informed about industry trends and innovations, and identifying new opportunities for partnerships that could benefit the company.
- Develop communication templates for emails, calls, SMS, and press releases to effectively engage with brand partners.
- Implement and manage a CRM solution to monitor, engage and keep track of the pipeline.
- Design contract templates and develop best practices for the Partnerships department.
- Define team structure, job descriptions, KPIs, and successful metrics to support the objectives of the Partnerships department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales or partnerships, with a proven track record of closing deals and establishing successful partnerships.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to effectively communicate with brand partners and internal teams.
- Knowledge of marketing and advertising, and experience with developing and executing marketing campaigns.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain strong and productive partnerships.
- Ability to think creatively and identify new business opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
