Marketing Manager job description

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.
  • Partner with email, performance marketing, and web teams to design, test, and evolve lead nurturing tactics.
  • Partner with e-commerce manager to create the right strategies to onboard new customers.
  • Lead the design team in order to get the right materials for all campaigns.
  • Lead social media and WhatsApp campaigns to gain and retain customers.
  • Create the Marketing Department structure.
  • Hire and train people for the marketing department.
  • Any other task related to the marketing department.

    Skills and requirements:
    • Hold a Marketing or Marketing-related degree, OR A minimum of two (2) years experience in Marketing (particularly in Namibia)
    • Be Namibian or raised in Namibia, with a deep understanding of Namibian people and cultures
    • Creative, passionate & hardworking

    • A proactive planner who thinks outside of the box and for the future
    • Be a strategic thinker who takes initiative to drive solutions
    • Should be up to date with current marketing trends, on a local, regional and global scale
    • A people person who can build relationships with individuals from all backgrounds and leverage partnerships
    • Able to manage & coordinate a team and its multiple projects
    • Bonus: multi-lingual
